Dreaming in Buffy-verse, sort of...

set up: everybody's collective ass was very kicked last season, and the town's a right mess. Demons everywhere, a whole bunch of people got turned invisible by some kind of creeping demon disease and life is just generally hell; also Faith is around in good guy mode, and I, of course, am one of the gang...

vignette the first:
We've set up a hospice for the invisibles, but it's pretty depressing. They hang out all day in a big, dim room, windows covered over sitting at desks (not that you can see them) as if in a classroom, facing a blaring tv that they've covered over in heaps of white rags. Whenever there's a sound of guns from the smothered tv they all hoot and holler. Off of this room is a kitchen where we seem to hang out when we're hospicing. So we come back after some other action to check on them, open the door and discover they've all covered themselves in rags, too, so there's all these swathed figures watching the swathed telly. In the kitchen dishes and trash have accumulated hugely. Willow starts on the mound of dishes, mostly mugs, for some reason, while Buffy and I wrangle the maggot-infested trash. (Truly horrific.) We discuss the nearby dimensional rift and whether it will quake again soon, as well as what's to become of the invisibles.

vignette the second:
Faith is walking the streets at night and is coming up on a very dark patch, not just that the streelights are out, but it's like, complete absence of light. A civilian is walking that way, too, gets spooked by Faith's badass appearance and the fact that she has a stake in her hand and shies away, walking on the sidewalk while Faith takes the middle of the street. First we get the pitch black perspective, can't see a thing, then switch to Faith's slayer night vision, which is kinda green, like night vision goggles; she can see as a vamp sweeps in on her, and also, as she's doing the kicking and dusting, another vamp grabbing the woman. Once her attacker is dust, she takes care of the other and then she and the woman come out of the dark patch onto regular street.

vignette the third and silliest:
There's huge numbers of weird demons in town and two rival groups have massed just on the edge of town on one of those grassy hills that Sunnydale always has when necessary. They are freaky looking; one group is mostly bulbous, walrus and hippo looking guys, the other is all pale and albino-ish. They're getting ready to rumble, but the walrus-y bunch is kind of slow and stupid, so when the albino guys form a demon pyramid as their opening show of strength, walrus guys are like, oh, shit, scary; then they have a lightbulb moment and realize, hey, we can do that, too. Except they're too slow and bulbous to actually work it out.
