bed and couch slug
Dec. 24th, 2002 11:14 amMuch napping over the last several days. Gloriousity. Makes the kitties happy, too. Me and the furry slugs.
Took the kids to the Trail of Lights on Sunday night; after almost aborting because of the rain, we actually went and, really, eh. The 37th Street light show is way better. The kids enjoyed it, though, so that made it fun. And there was a huge fire pit for warming up, plus some creepy human sized cupcakes in a Candyland display that tickled my grotesquery bone. It was just very commercial, whereas on 37th St you get pentagrams, barbie nativities, art cars, light draped trees, wackiness and toilets.
We did get rained on, but had umbrellas, so that made it more fun for me. On the way home N&C stopped, kids asleep in the car, so I could jump out and visit with Bruce to see the Austin Museum of Digital Art thang going on in his yard.
We're making a seafood paella for dinner tomorrow, and having Chinese takeout tonight. It's all about the food man.
And I just finished up the freelance project. And started a new short story! It's been so long I felt giddy with the freedom of it. Yay!
