I finally saw The Motorcycle Diaries and it's as good as everyone says it is. Very worth watching. Consider it highly recommended.

Also finally saw The Incredibles and it was lots of fun. I had some minor qualms with the philosophy and worldview underpinning the movie's commentary on "specialness," but that's probably more analytic weight than the movie can bear.

After nearly losing me when the supernatural element became too anemic in the plotlines, Joan of Arcadia came back pretty strongly with the supernatural (they call it god) and a brewing conflict in the last two episodes of the season.

Numbers is actually a pretty nifty show, though, granted, I've only seen a couple of episodes. But the math stuff, which is heavy on the theory, is fun even for a mathphobe, and the family dynamics are also of the entertaining, with Judd Hirsch as the father of one math genius and one FBI agent. Of course, when Battlestar Galactica starts us again, I'll dump it like a hot potato.

You know, they sell hot potatoes on the street in Mexican border towns. And alcoholic drinks in big plastic cups from drive through windows, drinks with names like 'the seven wonders.' Then you walk on the beach in the dark, listening to the waves break, and don't remember how you ended up there.
