food and other things
Jun. 16th, 2003 11:24 amMore eating out took place yesterday, late brunch with Chad (in other words, lunch for me) at Curra's, one of my favorite places. I ordered something I'd never had, a small bowl of their shrimp bisque, and two sweet tamales. Heaven. The bisque was spicy, but not too, just right, the tamales had pineapple and nuts in them and were like manna.
And earlier in the day, Nadia made pancakes for dad's day, so I got a yummy blueberry pancake for brekkie. And treated myself to a cup of coffee, something rare these days. Mmmmmmm.
In book three of the Philip Pullman trilogy, The Amber Spyglass. Need to have a story written in less than two weeks for Turkey City and I haven't started. On the up side, if "Soul Thread" gets rejected quickly, I can take that.
I have done the silly but fun "Ecsatic Dance" tape twice, and it works for me. Sweaty and exercising for 25 minutes and I don't really notice the time, plus I'm a little blissed out by the end of it. Probably all the swinging my head around. Or the spinning. Those Sufis knew something about something. I guess it might be a little like a mini-rave, without the drugs, the stupid people, the lights, or, well, any of the rest of it.
