Just realized I haven't posted in a bit, so...

On the novel revising front, finally got started on itemizing what I'm thinking of as the retro-fitting of clearer plot points and character arcs.

Continuing to generate ideas (that I will eventually have to implement) for the publicizing of the other, to be published, novel.

Rejection and submission: there must be better names for these processes. On second thought, they're probably very aptly named.

Very few crits in on my latest story to workshop group...but that's okay; crits I did get are useful.

Other stuff--searching for downpayment assistance grant monies, freelance work, preparing to do taxes--all going on, somewhat backgrounded, but going on.

Painting and arranging and playing with my condo-to-be in my head, a regular passtime.

Reading: the fourth (and last, I believe) book in Tanith Lee's Secret Books of Venus, and it's lovely and dark and very Tanith Lee.

Imbibing at a fast clip: Nightwing issues and graphic novels. Considering looking for issues of Gaiman's 1602 to check it out.

There's an ATC (artist trading cards) meetup scheduled for February 19th here, but there are only five people, including me, signed up. We'll see. I have so far been unable to find the card sleeves for my cards--though I know they'll have them at Michael's. I just haven't been able to find them anyplace I can get to sans car.

On the television front, Wire in the Blood, on BBCAmerica, is gory and good. Teen Titans continues to be fun. I'm hopeful for continued goodness in Angel. Joan of Arcadia rocks.

Jobwork concerns (OSX-computer stuff, website content stuff, budget stuff...) have been sticking to my shoe like toilet paper, following me home, though I try very hard to have a large buffer zone between jobwork and home, because home belongs to writing work, and life beyond job. Oh well. I'm thankful for my job.

I love having six cats in the house (especially as they're not all my responsibility); the Wild Kingdom moments are priceless.
