I like this. Way to recycle with wit and whimsy.

Sometimes I complain about public transportation (though I'm entirely in support of it, cause, hey, Americans, you know the gas prices you already think are too high? They're artificially low, just for you, you ridiculously-large-vehicle-addicted morons--in other countries it's up to freaking $6/gallon. Get freaking real people. Ride the bus, get a mini or a hybrid, ride your bike, something!). More specifically, I complain about the other people riding public transport with me. In fairness, there are times when other people can also be incredibly cool. Case in point:

A guy with one leg, on crutches, with like three backpacks and various bags to carry, but his energy was so amazing. Sweet, gentle. He talked to the bus driver a little, but not in a needy or neurotic way. Just, "It's a beautiful spring we're having, just beautiful. I love the smell of all the jasmine and mountain laurel on the air." Said with a very refreshing, relaxed, clear joy.

That guy was inspiring. I didn't even notice if he smelled.
