just some health natter...
Mar. 23rd, 2006 01:02 pmSix month doctor's appointment today; I've been putting him off about another echo cardiogram (the deductible is freaking high) but he wouldn't be put off any longer. There goes something more interesting or gratifying I could have done with a portion of my tax return.
Then it was the usual blood taking and because my mom, having recently discovered at 73 that she has gluten allergies and that's why she's gotten migraines all her life, made me ask him about celiac disease, they took three vials instead of the usual two.
Frankly, if I find out I have to stop eating gluten, I'm gonna be pissed; cause it won't mean (as mom hoped) that I have that instead of the scleroderma.
Because my blood pressure continues low, he figures my kidneys, at least, are still safe from the creeping scarificating tendrils of the scleroderma.
Windy and cold out and I got thoroughly chilled waiting for the bus after, my fingers entirely white-blue by the time I got to my office. brrr. Thank goodness for the lovely fan heater that my guardian angels gave me.
