Highlights of the weekend: going to the The Blanton with P; Austin finally has a museum of art that feels like a museum of art; the building has the architectural heft of light and space that a museum needs to make it other--or sacred, I guess--space.

Seeing Brick, which may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I very much enjoyed it.

Brunch at Curra's. Gotta love the veggie chorizo.

Not a lot of writing getting done the last few days; research, notes, and job hunt related stuff. I've found that getting a slew of story rejections, such as the storm of them I got in the last few weeks, can put a little kaibosh on my productivity. Takes me a little while to get back to the joy of the writing, away from the glum and 'what's the point' engendered by how stymied the rejections can make me feel. I always bounce back, so, trying not to be too down about the lack of productivity.
