Jul. 10th, 2006 08:30 amIt always takes me a long while to get to the writing part on a new novel; I have to feel very solid about the world and the characters before I can really get to it. I'm remembering this, as it's been a while since I started the The Last Luminary Virtue, currently languishing on editor and agent desks.
Meanwhile, of course, three different short stories have suddenly presented themselves like little clamoring gangs. They will wait however; I'm so ready to be working on a novel again. And happy--like a dog in clover (or something dead, I suppose), a pig in shit, a cat in catnip.
I won't be going, but just for fun, here's the Alamo South's menu for their feast showing of PotC:DMC:
I leave Thursday to visit my mom and company in way northern Malibu. Have I mentioned that my stepfather's newest client is Cher?
This makes me giggle.
