Received an e-mail from [profile] darinbradleyof Farrago's Wainscot putting the appearance of my story "Flowertongue" at April 2008, issure 6 of the 2008 Exhibition.

Also received a check from Down East Books for "When the Ice Goes Out," which will appear in the anthology That Mysterious Door: Maine Tales of Fantasy and Speculation

The new downtown Alamo is opening November 1, with a big mushroom feast and a very Alamo dowtown kind of movie, Matango. I love mushrooms, but I imagine the tix will be out of my range for that. Still, Alamo at the Ritz! Is big yay!

Nice and chilly this morning, lovely bands of aqua and persimmon glow on the horizon for sunrise.

Whatever its flaws, Supernatural continues to be the best guilty pleasure tv for me. Last night's ep made me laugh, loud and delightedly, and also was good B-style adventure-horror. In other words, a very nice hour's break and escape, catharsis-wise, from everything.

Drove neighbor B to the airport yesterday after work (I can has car!) and am feeding her felines for the nonce.

If you had robots for neighbors, would you call them neighbots?

Will we ever shake free this here country from the religious right/conservative-insane stranglehold that's taking it down, or are we just too well sheltered, fed, entertained, and overworked to bother?
