getting a fix, scratching an itch
Feb. 4th, 2008 11:54 am A couple of things:
Need a highly literate, beautifully written, understated ghost story fix? You can have one over at Five Chapters, beginning today, with the rest being posted in parts each day this week. “The Artists Colony” by my friend Katherine Hester is a resonant, wonderful story.
Why it feels so good to scratch an itch. The brain is so very weird and interesting. Especially interesting to me, given how itchy the sclero makes me; it’s true that when I give my back a good scratch at the end of the day, the sighs of joy and relief have a somewhat indecent pitch.
