Some more things...
Saw an advance screening of Penelope last night. It’s a little uneven and a little too earnest, but an enjoyable urban fairy tale nonetheless: sweet, fairly smart and funny, and (the dreaded) quirky. Peter Dinklage is always a pleasure and the set design was really lovely. And my lord, but I loved Christina Ricci’s clothes.

The anthology formerly known as That Mysterious Door: Maine Tales of Fantasy and Speculation (in which my story "When the Ice Goes Out" will appear) has been renamed Otherworldly Maine. It's still scheduled for an August 2008 publication.

Moving offices and cubicles here at work, part of a massive reorganization that, uncharacteristically, didn’t result in the loss of any jobs, and it looks like I’m going to end up with both more privacy and a window. This would be a good thing.

Health note: I’d been taking supplement grade turmeric for its anti-inflammatory value, which studies have shown to be quite high; ran out (Turmeric Force from New Chapter, ‘spensive stuff) a few days ago and damn if everything doesn’t freaking hurt now. Apparently it really was working to keep the sclero-induced inflammation of tendons and what have you down. But it really exacerbated the reflux…so, now researching other options, if anyone knows of a good natural anti-inflammatory.

I was really hoping for a good rain today, but we've been cheated.
