SIMS arrived yesterday, as predicted. Download and installation of firmware update, system upgrade, and carbonlib (god only knows) later, SIMS is successfully installed. And, of course, the iMac doesn't have enough memory. As a new obsession knows only a few bounds (I won't be buying a new computer), a memory upgrade, to the limit of the little computer's brain capacity, is now in order. iMac memory installation is very complicated, judging by the diagrams that I can't print because I don't have a printer, so it's off to the campus computer center for the delicate op. As soon as Nadia can give me a ride.

I contained my impatience very well, I thought. Was helped by a Witchblade ep with very nice Gabriel content (really, guys, he's verrrrrrry--purrrrr--gorgeously swell).

Nadia looked over the SIMS box and actually seemed interested in the game. It would be good for her to get into it, because she might get a little less intimidated by the computer (it's the typing thing, she hates it, can you imagine? I find it difficult.)

Had a convo with Casey after seeing the weather forcast for the week, with the rain chance percentages, which were like 30%, 40%, 40%, 20%, 20%, (Nadia and I were goaning that none of the days had more than a 50% chance) and he said they actually averaged out to only a 10% chance for the week that we *wouldn't* get rain. Physicists. Still, nice to think of it that way. We haven't had any over 100 stretches and that rocks.

Ooohh! And got a b-day present from mom and Andy and they got it so right! A gorgeous set of Koh-i-noor markers in very good colors, all in a handy little pouch. I called right away to rave my thank yous.
