A low-key but pleasant weekend, with lots of good food and happy kidlets making valentines for us, carefully spelling out our names (with help). Had a lovely long conversation with friend Grace yesterday, when she was kind enough to call--to share the news that one of her surfing buddies is (or claims to be) best friends with Adam Baldwin, aka Jayne. Woohoo!
Coincidentally, Adam Baldwin appeared on Friday night's ep of Stargate, as the head of SG13; not a throwaway part, either, he got to talk a lot. I've missed him. He's such a great presence onscreen.
Sunday I finally started to get more than toe-deep into the prelim stage of novel-revisions--reading, notes, marking up of ms. When I knocked off I watched a DVD, an HK/Canadian film called Gen X Cops which was enjoyable mainly for the two very pretty actors, Nicholas Tse and Stephen Fung. I'm so shallow.
Today is day one of the two-day writing vacation and I have managed to wade deeper into the novel revision process, and will continue to do so tomorrow (and maybe a little more today).
But it's gorgeous out and I think I better take a walk now.
