I have seen the Potter, and I enjoyed it. Especially Buckbeak and director Cuaron's deft touch with the atmosphere and visuals. Also Hermione and the actress who portrays her. She kicks ass.
Then I watched one of my favorite movies of all time, Diva, and it remains one of my favorite movies of all time.
N made my weekend by staying up to read The Z Radiant--it's a page turner, just what I was going for when I wrote it more than ten years ago!--and clearly liking it very much and being caught up in it after she was done.
On the other hand there is a very silly and not terribly flattering review of the book here. It did make me laugh, though, and it's not entirely unfair. Though there's a lot more going on in the novel (all its readers thus far agree) than this review might lead one to believe.
My Dad says he doesn't think the cover is that bad, he kind of likes it. Hmmm.
