Crazy busy at the job this week, between end of fiscal year deadlines and our center's suddenly imminent move to the College of Natural Sciences. My boss and I just got back from the university surplus warehouses, which are way north on the Pickle Campus. We tagged two heavy old wooden desks, large, some slightly decrepit wooden bookshelves (the pickings were slim) and some file cabinets, since the only office furniture our center actually owns are our three ergonomic desk chairs. The computer graveyard was quite, um, alarming, large, depressing--take your pick.
On the way back we went to Alborz Persian Cuisine for the lunch buffet. Magnifique. (I kiss my fingers and go mmmmmm--especially for the baked eggplant and the sour cherry rice.)
My plan to get back to writing this week has been kaiboshed pretty thoroughly by the job stuff. But is okay, cause, well, what can ya do?
