wheeee!

Sleety rain all last night and this morning there's an actual inch of white (it's ice, but it looks like snow) on the world hereabouts. A pretty uncommon occurence in Austin. So uncommon, that since there's more coming, they closed the university today and I don't have to go to work!!! whooha! (It's all because it's Alyx's birthday, I think; the world pauses to reflect on her wonderfulness.)

A lovely silence in the white outside.

Watched Dinner for Five on IFC last night, cause Eddie Izzard was one of the guests. He was so sweet and smart and lovely. Of course he got the "what exactly does transgender mean?" question (sheesh, come on), but on the whole it was very entertaining.

Tonight, Buffy, Phyllis, and yummy grilled chicken. What shall I do with my day?
