Well, I can't do the first line book meme at work, so, since I'm feeling kinda like a gassy mushroom of unjoy and ugly at the moment, I'll do a list of things I appreciate and love, though I feel no enthusiasm for the task...let's see how I feel by the end of it...

*my friends, my friends, my friends
*Yo La Tengo tape currently playing
*my job, for the being able to eat and pay rent and having access to spiffy computer and printer and scanner tech
*Aristotle and Sula
*my housemates
*good, not too expensive restuarants
*sunlight, cause it is nice after a series of grey days
*current book by Michael Chabon, The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, because the writing and story are a-mazing
*Mexican hot chocolate
*the little portable beach kit my sister sent me, where a small godzilla sits in the sand with a small beachball on my desk
*my sister
*buses, when I don't feel like walking
*sickdays, cause I think I need to take on Friday
*Phyllis, who will go to almost any movie with me
*back to lj, and my friends, especially A&K, for whom I am most thankful
...and that's all I can seem to come up with; still not feeling very perky, but I do feel a little better.
