Campus is like a big park during spring break; most all the students gone except for a number of Asian students who often seem to have family visiting. Quiet, only the occasional strollers; it's a pretty campus, trees, trees, trees, fountains, grassy verges, some decent buildings (some horrendous ones, too, but I don't generally walk by any of those). Your basic irony: the place exists for the students, but it's so much nicer without them.
A very entertaining way to waste some time, if you like generating weird word strings and names, can be found here.
Tonight is Bruce's annual post-SXSW Interactive party. I will attend. This year I declined Elizabeth's offered pass to SXSW Film because I didn't feel like rushing madly around to get to enough films so I wouldn't feel guilty about accepting the pass. Meanwhile, there's a show I'd really like to go to on Friday night, Yo La Tengo at Stubbs, but it's part of SXSW Music Fest and will therefore be impossible to get into without a pass.
