So, it's not a urinary tract infection; her urine sample was "perfect." They're rerunning the bloodwork because the vet found the results so "puzzling" she was concerned there might have been a lab error (not charging me again, thank zu).
This morning Sula was not much interested in food, which she has been up to now; workers on the scaffolding sent her off the windowsill to the closet, where she sat in loaf position, as on the windowsill all night, eyes wide, clearly not happy. She's been tearing out mouthfuls of her fur and having big hairballs. When I brought her back from the vet's yesterday, she stood half in and half out of the carrier for a looong time, stock still, as if she'd gone blank, or was too scared to move, or didn't know where she was or...something. I guess the simplest answer is that the IBD is in fact lymphoma and is getting worse, but the vet will let me know the new bloodwork results tomorrow.
I managed to bash my forehead hard on the closet door frame after checking on her before I left this morning. My shoulder and hands are sore and aching as can be.
