Makes me kinda sad when Angel is better than Buffy, since I'm not so invested in the characters, but it was. Smart, kick-ass, satisfying.
Under the heading of further adventures in prostesting, yesterday Nadia said, "Do you want to go to the beach this weekend?" I said, "Uh, sure." She said "The Sierra Club is having a protest because Bush okayed a plan that will let eighteen wheelers roll over the beach through Padre Island National Seashore, where the breeding grounds for endangered sea turtles are, in the Spring, which is breeding season, and, incidentally, it's a public beach." (this is actually a paraphrase) She then went, "grrrrr, it makes me so mad." And I agreed, and we're all (three kids, three adults) going down on Saturday, to return late Sunday. Apparently there will be a sand castle building contest as well as a beach cleanup. Here is the lowdown. I will report back to the group upon my return.
Today I am wearing sandals. Looking down at my toes, I am struck by how cute and lickable they are and I can't understand why beautiful boys are not falling at my feet to kiss them and love me.
