Last night I had planned to go with Phyllis and Mr Phyllis to this thing here called First Thursday down on South Congress after work. My boss Julia lives down that way and invited us to dinner with her and her husband Danny. They have a little haven, fenced and treed and gardened enough to cushion them from the city, with a pool and a pond, and it was beautiful out. It was a nice evening, with a lot of nice conversation and good food. I definitely felt the single person among them, though. We spent so long there that it was late when we finally made it to South Congress, and we weren't much up for the crowds, but the walking was nice, as it was even nicer out by then.

We all enjoyed making fun of the drum circle which had started up at one of the crowd.

Very glad it's Friday, as I feel the need of weekend time, no work, no demands, lounging about with kitties. Also, Chad is going to come over for a Buffyathon, since, poor pup, he still hasn't seen the final three eps.
