Unexpected gifts in the mail may be one of my top ten joys. Wednesday it was the awesome fuzzy-green-knitted-just-for-me-by-Alyx hat. Yesterday it was a set of silk sheets from my mom and her hubby, to soothe my oh so itchy scleroderma-tortured skin in the hot Austin nights. So soft, so silky, so cool...the cats immediately made use of them for what looked like very blissed-out napping. My mom says it may take awhile to get used to sleeping on them; apparently she and Andy had trouble staying in place on the bed. They just slid around all over the place, sometimes off the bed entirely.
