Thank you oh loverly lj fairy (thou knowest who thou art), for my b-day gift!
So far, forty is grand.
Hopefully I will still feel that way tonight after the reading.
The birthday haul thus far:
*my boss took me out for yummy tapas and mojitos
*my sister sent a lovely, light as air, moss green silk wrap/sarong/whatever (nice on the itchy skin)
*Nadia made dinner last night, lobster tails and artichokes and a chocolate/expresso rasberry cake--yum; plus she's paying for me to go to a spa and stay on a cabin on the lake with our friend Elizabeth later in the month; not shabby at all
*Donna sent a fantabulous selection of little gifts from Uwajimaya's in Seattle
*Donna also sent me the new Patricia McKillip, In the Forests of Serre. Yay!
*Chad took me to dinner
*Katherine paid for me to have a pedicure at the spa, in addition to my facial--in cahoots with Nadia; this will be my first ever pedicure
*Mom and Andy are giving me a gift cert for a DVD
*the kids gave me candles and a holder, sparkly bobby pins, and one of those little lipstick boxes with a mirror
I am showered with love and good fortune and am very thankful.
