Besides the major movie openings this weekend hereabouts, including Underworld which I fully intend to see at the first available opportunity, there are many many other screening options, as there are most every week. Scrolling down this page of the newly revamped Austin Chronicle website gives a fair idea of this. My own personal plan is to see the week's offering of the AFS's current free series, "Heroic Grace: The Chinese Martial Arts Film," Vengeance!, and possibly Tamala 2010: A Punk Cat in Space, both at the Alamo Downtown, both on Tuesday night. But if I had endless time and energy (and could be in two places at once), I would also go to the showing of To Kill a Mocking Bird in the park, and catch some of the viewings of Buffy eps on DVD at The Spider House, in a lovely garden, group atmosphere, with a frothy chai and a scone in front of me.

And, I just pre-ordered the Firefly DVD through Amazon!!!! Wheee!!!!! I know what I'll be watching in December.
