What was the first thing you ever agitated/asked for as a gift (that you remember)?

What was your first pet and what became of it?
Two white mice. I got them for Christmas (yes, I'm Jewish, so what?). I loooooved them, though I did almost drown them once on my Barbie boat in the bathroom sink. Despite my four-year-old homicidal tendencies, they lived for a year in a regularly cleaned cage with a big wheel and fresh cedar shavings. A better fate than some.
What was the first thing you ever agitated/asked for as a gift (that you remember)?
A marionette, a real one, carved of wood. I got a cool gypsy woman, sized to be used by an adult. My fascination with marionettes continues to this day.

That marionette. I've never seen another one so cool, or if I have seen one that comes close, it costs the moon and the sky.

That place with beaches and lakes and woods and hot springs where all my beloveds are close by but we all have space for ourselves. Exercise, good food, fun and frolic, an incredible library, and you-dream-it-it's-built architectural services are all readily, easily, roll-out-of-bed available.
